The Summer Letters – A Reflection by Sergio Bambaren
What Is Kindness, Really?
Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. It involves showing interest towards others and compassion through voluntary acts of generosity and concern, often without expecting anything in return.

It’s more than just being nice; it’s about intentional acts of helpfulness and support motivated by genuine warmth.
Kindness Is Action
Kindness is expressed through actions, not just feelings. It includes giving of one’s time, resources, or attention to help others.
It involves being thoughtful and aware of the needs and feelings of others. Kindness often involves prioritizing the needs of others over one’s own. It stems from an understanding of and concern for the suffering of others. Kindness is a conscious choice to act in a helpful way.
More Than Just Being Nice
While kindness includes being nice, it goes further to involve deeper acts of support and consideration. Even small acts of kindness can have a significant positive impact on both the giver and the receiver.

Why Kindness Still Matters
I guess this is still the most precious tool that we practice and keeps our humanity in us. Why? Because kindness doesn’t necessarily gets involved with the new technologies that we use these days. These acts of humanity are more spontaneous, involving moments in the day to day living.
A smile, a spontaneous act of giving, without asking for anything in return, a hug, a kiss, these are just examples of acts of kindness that we still show to others. And without even realizing it, they make a difference in this fast, moving world that we are living in our times.
Always be kind!
A dreamer…
