Delphis is an environmental initiative founded by Sergio Bambaren together with a group of ecologists and environmental advocates, originally focused on the protection and conservation of natural coastal ecosystems in Peru.
From its beginnings, Delphis supported efforts to safeguard non-populated beaches and marine habitats, contributing to the protection of wildlife and raising awareness for the preservation of fragile coastal environments.
Over time, and in collaboration with various organizations, Delphis participated in environmental activities in different regions, particularly in South America and parts of Europe.
Today, Delphis is primarily associated with projects and initiatives in Peru and South America. While it is no longer operating as a global organization, its original mission and spirit continue to inspire environmental awareness and responsible interaction with nature.
The initiative has historically supported:
- the protection of coastal ecosystems and marine wildlife
- beach and shoreline conservation efforts
- awareness around human impact on fragile natural habitats
Sergio Bambaren’s commitment to the ocean and to environmental protection remains active through his ongoing work, writings, and current initiatives — most notably through Sergios Mission, his current platform dedicated to supporting and connecting environmental efforts.
In his own words:
“We are part of Nature. If we destroy it, we will finally destroy ourselves. We don’t own Nature. We are just part of it.”
